We have been living in this house for 7 years, 7 years of happiness. It is perfectly located, 2 min to the bus and groceries, close to Haarlem city, and Amsterdam is just a 15 min train ride away; this location was perfect for us! Everything is just accessible easily: swimming pool, sport center, cafes, kindergarten, schools, and much more.
We had the very best neighbourhood and the neighbours are friendly and nice. You really feel safe in the area, kids play outside, this is great!
Good memories for us, and we hope you make some too!

Sunny house in a nice 1920s street, with 3 bedrooms, hobby room in the extension (also suitable as 4th bedroom) and deep backyard. Located in a popular neighborhood amidst greenery and water, directly behind (waterway) waters of the Jan Gijzenkade and the Spaarne, a 5-minute walk from both the Schoterbos and the extensive Hekslootpolder nature reserve! At the end of the street are bus stops (including direction NS Station, Schalkwijk, Amsterdam South) and there is a large supermarket for daily shopping. Also within walking distance are the swimming pool De Planeet, a library, the smallest zoo of our country 'little Artis', a neighborhood center, various playgrounds and a large sports square (with football cage) on the Nieuw Guineaplein. It is a beloved livingarea for the young and old.

The house is well maintained and has a nice backyard with back and (bicycle) storage / shed. The garden is quite deep (about 10 meters) and located on the northeast, there is a lot of sun in the garden for a large part of the day. There is extra space in the extension on the kitchenside, this renovated and insulated room (2018) with lots of light is now used as a hobby room. Here is also connection for washing machine and dryer.
The bright living room has beautiful oak floors (parquet flooring) and a gas fireplace. Spacious dining area on the garden side. Half open kitchen with corner kitchen unit with access to the room at the rear and the backyard. The kitchen block has lots of work space and contains various built-in appliances such as a dishwasher, 4-burner gas stove with extractor, fridge, oven and extra separate fridge with freezer.
